WHAT EVENTS occured on the Sugar ACT (American Revolution)?
The Sugar Act was a law that put a tax on merchants to sell any sugar products in the colonies to make British products cheaper than French products. Although it increased production in the colonies, it was viewed as unfair by many, notably Samuel Adams. It was in effect from April 5 1764 to basically until the Treaty of Paris which ended the American Revolution in 1783.
