Objects, events, situations that are comic and tragic?

I'm designing book covers for a college project. Two book covers will be on the theme of tragedy and two will be on the theme of comedy.





Does anyone know any objects, events, situations that are comic and tragic?





e.g:


Whats been your most comic/tragic moment?


What object do you find to be most comic/tragic?





I will need my own photographs and illustrations so it will need to be something thats easy enough to take pictures of or draw.

Black, coffins, like abandoned alleyway, blood, small little kid alone?





Comedy, hows about, like joke shop items, cartoon character doing something really wierd.?
