Current Events...?

ANOTHER SCHOOL PROJECT. I can't find any great current events. I don't want to choose something too obvious like the election, because someone else might use it. It has to be about politics or world affairs... please help?!?

Current Events...?
Hi-I would suggest that you write a paper examining how celebrity feuds are happening today more than ever due to political differences of opinion because of the war. When I was growing up, entertainers very rarely expressed their political views-I am 44 years old and can only remember celebrities entertaining poltiticians and soldiers not fighting over the state of our country due to an inept administration.


For example, the current on air fight recently between conservative Bill O' Reilly and liberal Rosie O. Donnell. Rosie states on "The View " how in some ways our country had knowledge of 9/11 and the Republican administration sat on things they knew about before the attack on the WT towers and in D.C., and were partially responsible for 9/11. Bill O says Rosie is a traitor and anti-American for saying this and should be fired from the "View." Why is he allowed his conservative freedom to speak his mind using the first amendment of the constitution and sometimes do it crassly, and Ro should be fired? I think it's a nice twist on just reporting on the war or Bush speech, etc. Has more complexity to it. Patricia Heaton is very anti-abortion and anti-gay and so is Star Jones. These are socio-political issues that could be addressed as well.
