Reply:You could always order French Toast at IHOP and then French Fries at McDonalds!

Uh huh huh huh!! (Maurice Chevalier imitation)
Reply:Check with the French Counsulate in Houston. There is a group of french ex-pats that have an organization called Houston Accueil who organize all kinds of events for the french in Houston. They also put out a directory for everything french ih Houston. They are very nice to deal with too.

The MFA and Menil currently have collections by French artists.

La Vie en Rose, Moliere, and 2 Days in Paris are all French films currently in theaters.

Da Camera will have an evening of French music in Nov. (http://tfaarts.org/)

Look into taking a French cooking class.

La Boheme is one of the operas playing next year.

You might want to take a trip down to Galveston to learn about Jean Lafitte.
Reply:We had a meal at La Madeline once. There were a few workers there that spoke French, and we had a good time trying to order in French. Also, you could organize a French movie night. I don't know if there are any French-American associations in the Houston area, but if there are, maybe you can get a native French speaker to come and give a presentation. Bonne Chance!
