Events in Iraq over the Summer?
The Iraq Freedom Congress (http://www.ifcongress.com/English/index.... ) is a libertarian, secularist,non-violent, democratic, and progressive group that opposes Ba'athism, Islamism, and nationalism -- as well as the US invasion/occupation.

The Iraq Freedom Congress has organized a self-defense Safety Force that patrols neighborhoods in Iraq (population: 5,000) and has reduced sectarian violence there to zero. However, far from supporting this effort, US forces have assassinated the head of these Safety Forces (http://tinyurl.com/25yknr ).

Reply:u know? then tell us why are we over there?
Reply:Well civilian casualties in August were 1,800 dead.

81 American soldiers were killed

Otherwise, same chaos pretty much. Investigations continue into the enormous thievery by American and Iraqi contractors, and there seems to be a few billion dollars worth of American weapons that got channeled into the black market and enemy hands.

As for the good news, I'm sure there are individual acts of kindness but overall, it's pretty grim over there by all reports from those on the scene who aren't gagged by the military.
Reply:Wherever it was when you left, that's where it is now. What ever bombing were going on when you left, that kept on going on. In another year it will be the same thing, and so on forever. It's an endless loop that will keep on repeating and never stop.
Reply:We lost some good soldiers. Made some progress. and unknown about other countries participation. Looks like they are still sitting are watching.
