I heard from a friend of mine that he found online (somewhere, sorry I don't have the sorce) a supercomputer that looks at news events through the internet and catalogs them to predict the future of international events. It predicted that in 2008 there will be a nuclear strike against a major western power from a middle eastern country. Has anybody ever heard of this?
I do not know if it is true or not and i'm not saying it's true. That's what this question is for. Thanks for all your help!

Sorry your friend is just trying to freak you out. NOBODY can predict the future, apart from Meteorologists.
