What events in the world would have to happen for you to believe that end time prophecy is playing out?

I don't think that there is anything happening in the world right now that could make one conclude that we are seeing the prophecies described in Revelations amd other books playing out.





One could look at any period in history and see things that could look like prophecy unfolding. That's why there have always been people who think we are living in the final days, or that Christ's return is iminent.





So my question is: what would have to happen that would make you think that end time prophecy is unfolding? What global events? What things in the news would you have to see to make you believe this is all happening?





And if you are one who thinks that we are in the end time right now, then what do you see happening right now that makes you think this?

What events in the world would have to happen for you to believe that end time prophecy is playing out?
When the 6 day war happened in Israel. When they celebrated their 40 th birthday - one generation - and when the President of Iran said; "Israel is to be wiped off the map and their name known nor more."





I know that there is Famines, Straff, Suffering and wars and rumors of wars and there has always been - ONE BIG DIFFERENCE!!!!!!! ISRAEL!!!!! IT IS A NATION - AGAIN!





That one thing makes the prophecies - FULL! Wow!





I think 'That' is rather significant! The book of Daniel being totally understood and studied. In the book of Daniel it says that no one would understand it till the end time. Wow!





Israel IS full filled - for the first time in just over 2500 years - YES - they were not there before 1948! That's the year after my husband was born -six years before I was born - 'This Generation' WOW!





I think that's it rather obvious and Oh My God - Iraq, Iran, North Korea and with whats happening in Russia (I've been telling Everyone - the book IS coming down - Listen to what President Pudtin has been saying - Oh for the Russians - bad!).





I don't think that there is any doubt.

Reply:First, I would have to see the panic on a Christian's face, not the bored, intellectual face that details events with great precision.





I drove a taxi for many years. In those years, I saw quite a few drivers return at the end of the shift with no money to pay for their shift. Many times, they would claim that they were robbed by a customer.





It is very easy to determine the real victim (and there will be many victims at the end of the world). If the alleged victim can describe, in detail, the person robbing them, give the exact time and location, and what kind of flashing sign was nearby, it's bologna. If the victim holds his hands up, and forms a circle in front of his face and says, "the gun was this big!", he's probably being sincere.





My point is, adding detail only diminishes the perceived sincerity of a witness. A person who actually sees the end coming, couldn't care less what sign the moon or stars are in. He's not a bit worried about a temple on a mount, or a watchtower. He's busy running for the hills, possibly naked....

Reply:It said the gospel would be preached it all the earth and then the end [of the old system of thought] would come, "the world." The world has always been the world system that all are seeing doesn't work well enough for the 21st century. There are at least a couple of dozen christian channels alone on satellite and virutally everyone has access to a tv, so they say. So the word is being preached in the whole world. Up to three quarter of a million people show up to evanglist meetings in some countries. Science is sounding more and more spiritual. Spirituality is exploding off findings in quantum physics, now considered by most to be proved, findings that encourage analogy with spiritual concepts from for ever. We see an upsurge in spirituality from movies like "The Secret", "What The Bleep Do We Know", "Conversations with God" and a slew of others, some on youtube. Many are talking to God like the prophets of old under the spirit. In Joel it was prophecied that "In the later days I will pour out my spirit on all sorts of flesh" and "They will have to know that I am Jehovah." The world wars may qualify as Armaggedon as already having occurred. I sure hope we are smart enough not to do that again. Scientists and others are talking about an evolution of the mind occuring, I presume from the information age. Some say we're in the conceptual age. The mind thinks in pictures, the ninty percent that they say we haven't been using. The whole mind can see that an intelligence must have made this universe, it's so complex. The right brain and subconsious are being accessed by intuition and the right brain has all our humanity, love, self control and faith, to mention a few of the fruit of the spirit. So the head is beginning to wag the tail instead of us being run by our bodies. You only need fifty one percent control to be in charge. The funniest sign of the times is Paris Hilton carrying a Bible and the book "The Secret." There are many more prophecies of the end times than Revelation, that show how to interpret the symbolism and "The spirit of truth will lead you into all truth, even the deep things of God." That is being experienced. I like the thought Eye has not seen or ear heard, nor has it come up in the mind of man the things God has planned for those who love him. He being, among other things, the truth. Those area few anyway.

Reply:When I see jesus riding down from the heavens followed closely by angel warriors I'l begin to believe the book of revelations.


Untill then I'm putting these events down to nature and the ever changing world caused by nature.
Reply:All of the violent acts recently have made me question whether there really will be an "end of days" scenario!
Reply:I agree, I can't actually say we are in the end times. However, Jesus said, that this would happen also, ppl would disbelieve even at the obvious signs He gave us to look for.
Reply:Every generation thinks its the end of the world. If the Black Palgue wasn't the end of the world I doubt this is.
Reply:If a giant asteroid struck Earth or a giant volcanic eruption and earthquake like at Yellowstone ripped the Earth apart or if all the nuclear powers begin nuking each other either of these things could be a sign of end times.
