Events that happened in 1800's California?

Er, i was just wondering. Also i need to know the events for a "Primary Source" project :D

Events that happened in 1800's California?
Well, most obvious is the Gold Rush in 1849.





Also, the "Americanization" of California began in 1804 by the 1st explorations led by Lewis and Clark.





In 1812, Russian traders established Fort Ross near Bodega Bay.





John Gilroy becomes the 1st non-Hispanic settler in 1814.





In 1821, California was a Mexican province.





On Nov 7, 1836; California declares its Independence from Mexico.





In 1846, the US and Mexico went to war which led California being annexed in 1848.
Reply:The most interesting were right in the middle of the century.


1846 Bear Flag Revolt. California claims to be a separate country for a short time before John C Fremont claims it as part of the US. (He had the biggest army at the time.)


1848 Gold is discovered.


1849 gold rush


1850 Statehood.
Reply:1882- LSJU (Stanford) founded, in Paly, Cali. Same year, Zionists spring from UK, to invade Palestine, to eventually establish an apartheid state, but invaded, in the year between the Boer Wars.
